Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical School District: White students were most represented ethnicity in 2022-23 school year

White was the most represented ethnicity among Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical School District students in the 2022-23 school year, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

In total, there were 777 white students enrolled, accounting for 81.2% of the district's student body.

The number of white students attending schools in the district decreased 1.8% from the previous school year.

Meanwhile, Asian students were the least represented ethnic group within the schools in Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical School District.

Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical School District roughly covers schools within Norfolk County, and has a main office in Franklin.

The total number of students attending the district’s schools grew to 957 over the 2022-23 school year.

Students in Massachusetts are predominantly white, according to state data from 2023-24, representing 53% of the state's student body.

Across the state, Hispanic and Latino students saw the highest high school dropout rates.

Under representation is also found among educators in Massachusetts. The Rennie Center reported that only 7.8% of teachers identified as people of color in 2022.
