Wellesley Public Schools District: 96.7% of students graduated in 2022-23 school year

Wellesley Public Schools District had a 96.7% graduation rate during the 2022-23 school year, 0.8% higher than the previous school year, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

There were 350 students who graduated in the 2022-23 school year, compared to 326 the year before.

Wellesley Public Schools District had the 41st highest graduation rate in the state.

In 2024, public schools in Massachusetts boasted a graduation rate of 90%, according to Public School Review.

However, younger students' proficiency is still lagging behind pre-pandemic levels. NAEP results show that in 2022, less than 47% of the students were considered proficient in math and reading, with eighth-graders performing the worst, reaching only 35% proficiency in math.
