Graduation Analysis: 0.4% fewer students graduated from Westwood Public Schools District in 2022-23 school year

Westwood Public Schools District had a 98.4% graduation rate during the 2022-23 school year, 0.4% lower than the previous school year, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

There were 245 students who graduated in the 2022-23 school year, compared to 248 the year before.

Westwood Public Schools District, Francis W. Parker Charter Essential District, and Northern Berkshire Regional Vocational Technical School District had the 18th highest graduation rate in the state.

Westwood Public Schools District roughly covers schools within Norfolk County and has a main office in Westwood.

In 2024, public schools in Massachusetts boasted a graduation rate of 90%, according to Public School Review.

However, younger students' proficiency is still lagging behind pre-pandemic levels. NAEP results show that in 2022, less than 47% of the students were considered proficient in math and reading, with eighth-graders performing the worst, reaching only 35% proficiency in math.
