Sharon Public Schools District: 97.2% of students graduated in 2022-23 school year

Sharon Public Schools District had a 97.2% graduation rate during the 2022-23 school year, 4% higher than the previous school year, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

There were 281 students who graduated in the 2022-23 school year, compared to 290 the year before.

Sharon Public Schools District, Mendon-Upton Regional School District, and Northborough-Southborough Regional School District had the 32nd highest graduation rate in the state.

In 2024, public schools in Massachusetts boasted a graduation rate of 90%, according to Public School Review.

However, younger students' proficiency is still lagging behind pre-pandemic levels. NAEP results show that in 2022, less than 47% of the students were considered proficient in math and reading, with eighth-graders performing the worst, reaching only 35% proficiency in math.
