The ratio of students to teachers in Randolph Public School District fell by 12.8% in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

There were 2,571 students being taught by 236.5 teachers in Randolph Public School District, which covers schools within Norfolk County and has a main office in Randolph. That's an average of 10.9 students per teacher in the district during the 2021-22 school year.

In the previous year, Randolph Public School District had 2,660 students and 212.4 teachers on staff.

Despite the shortage, under-representation of ethnicities among teachers was found to be a concern. The Rennie Center reported that only nine percent of teachers are people of color.

However, the state is facing a teacher shortage, just like the rest of the U.S. NewsNation reported that the state was offering emergency teaching licenses to educators who only had bachelor’s degrees, in an effort to get more teachers into schools.
