Four Football Student-Athletes Earn Academic All-District Honors
Four members of the Dean College football team have been recognized as College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District selections.
The 2022 Academic All-District® Football Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes football honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To be an Academic All-District® honoree, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore at their institution and have spent at least one full year at that particular school, have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above, and have played at least 50 percent of their team's contests as a starter or important reserve.
The Bulldogs who were honored include senior Communications major Lucas Ferreira (Acushnet, Mass.), senior Sport Management major Enrico Hernandez (Cypress, Calif.), senior Sport Management major Alex Huber (Sacramento, Calif.) and sophomore Sport Management major Noah Pearson (Tilton, N.H.).
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in late December.
