DR. CHARLES STEINBERG TO SPEAK AT THE DEAN LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE, SEPTEMBER 29, 2022

Dean College is pleased to announce that Dr. Charles Steinberg, president of the Worcester Red Sox, the Triple-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, will be a Fall 2022 speaker for the Dean Leadership Institute on Thursday, September 29, 2022.

Dr. Charles Steinberg joined the Worcester Red Sox, known as the Pawtucket Red Sox at the time, as president on November 5, 2015 after many years as Executive Vice President of the Boston Red Sox. In a vast career in which he has also worked with the Baltimore Orioles, San Diego Padres, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Commissioner Allan H. (Bud) Selig, "Dr. Charles" has helped revamp and re-energize the WooSox front office while leading the effort to aggressively reach out to the community to restore and enhance bonds of connection. He has also been instrumental in the community engagement of Central Massachusetts, including the development of Worcester’s Polar Park and the relocation of the franchise to the city in 2021.

The Dean Leadership Institute offers a unique opportunity for students, alumni and the local community to interact with today's business leaders. Steinberg will join an unprecedented list of national business leaders who have spoken at the Dean Leadership Institute, including Bert Jacobs, Robert and Jonathan Kraft and Angela McKay, among others. While Steinberg has previously visited Dean as a guest speaker for individual classes, this will be the first event open to the entire Dean community.

The event will take place at 6:00 p.m. in the Guidrey Center, located inside the Dr. Paula M. Rooney Student Center on the Dean College campus at 99 Main Street, Franklin, MA 02038. The event is FREE and open to the public.

RSVP to attend the Dean Leadership Institute event on September 29, 2022.
