New England Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson has been named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month for November. He is the sixth player from the Patriots to receive a rookie of the month award and only the third offensive player in team history to earn this recognition. Previous Patriots recipients include Christian Gonzalez (September 2023), Mac Jones (November 2021), Chandler Jones (September 2012), Jerod Mayo (October 2008), and Deion Branch (September 2002).
Henderson played a key role in helping New England achieve a perfect 4-0 record during November. Over those four games, he recorded 65 rushing attempts for a total of 330 yards, averaging 5.1 yards per carry, and scored five touchdowns.
In the team’s victory over Tampa Bay on November 9, Henderson scored on runs of 55 and 69 yards, becoming the first Patriots player to have two touchdown runs of at least 50 yards in a single game. He finished that contest with his first career 100-yard rushing performance, gaining 147 yards on just 14 carries for an average of 10.5 yards per attempt.
The following week against the New York Jets on November 13, Henderson accounted for three touchdowns—two rushing and one receiving—matching tight end Rob Gronkowski as one of only two Patriots rookies to score three touchdowns in a regular season game.
This marks the seventh time in the current season that New England players have received honors from the NFL. The team has earned five AFC Player of the Week awards and two Player of the Month recognitions so far this year.
The list of honors for New England players includes:
– Antonio Gibson: AFC Special Teams Player of the Week (Week 2 at Miami)
– Marcus Jones: AFC Special Teams Player of the Week (Week 4 vs. Carolina) and AFC Defensive Player of the Month (October)
– K’Lavon Chaisson: AFC Defensive Player of the Week (Week 7 at Tennessee)
– Andy Borregales: AFC Special Teams Player of the Week (Week 12 at Cincinnati)
– Drake Maye: AFC Offensive Player of the Week (Week 13 vs. NY Giants)
– TreVeyon Henderson: NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month (November)
“The seventh time in this season that New England players have received NFL honors highlights their consistent individual performances across multiple positions.”
