The ratio of students to teachers in Norfolk County Agricultural School District fell by 1.9% in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

There were 588 students being taught by 57.1 teachers in Norfolk County Agricultural School District, which covers schools within Norfolk County and has a main office in Walpole. That's an average of 10.3 students per teacher in the district during the 2021-22 school year.

In the previous year, Norfolk County Agricultural School District had 588 students and 56.1 teachers on staff.

Despite the shortage, under-representation of ethnicities among teachers was found to be a concern. The Rennie Center reported that only nine percent of teachers are people of color.

Massachusetts was ranked as the eighth best state for teachers, according to a WalletHub study.
