NOTICE TO WEYMOUTH TAXPAYERS
FY2023 PUBLIC DISCLOSURE OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENTS
The Town of Weymouth hs completed its Fiscal Year 2023 quintennial revaluation of all real and personal property in the community. The Massachusetts Department of Revenue has granted the Assessors permission to disclose the new property values while pending Preliminary Certification from the Massachusetts Bureau of Local Assessment. These proposed assessed values reflect the estimated full market value of properties as of a valuation date of January 1, 2022 based on recent construction data, income data, and comparable sales from within the community over the prior year
The proposed Fiscal Year 2023 valuations will be available to the public at the Assessor’s Office located at Town Hall, 75 Middle Street Weymouth. For the convenience of taxpayers, the disclosure will also be available on the Town Weymouth’s website at: www.weymouth.ma.us/assessor/news/fy2023-public-disclosure-of-proposed-assessments.
The public review will run Monday October 17th through Friday October 21st 2022 from 8:30 am. to 4:30 pm.
The Assessors’ office staff will be available for taxpayers to review and discuss proposed values during the disclosure period. Any questions pertaining to this disclosure may be directed to the Assessors’ Office 781-682-3677.
