Notification of Anticipated Sound Impacts - Compressor Station

19

On January 24, 2022, Algonquin provided a notification to the Town of Weymouth of potential off-site sound impacts associated with work related to facility improvements at the Weymouth Compressor Station scheduled to occur during daytime hours from January 27 through July 1, 2022.  The work is nearing completion and commissioning of new equipment is scheduled to occur starting June 6 and continuing through July 1, 2022.

In accordance with Section 4.A., Table 12, Condition 7 of the Plan Approval for the Weymouth Compressor Station, Algonquin is required to notify the Town of Weymouth as soon as it becomes apparent that scheduled maintenance with the potential for off-site sound impacts cannot be completed during daytime hours.  The commissioning process may involve activities with the potential for off-site sound impacts between the hours of 7 PM and 10 PM.

Work after 7 PM and on Sundays will mostly occur inside the courtyard and buildings of the compressor station, and Algonquin is taking measures to limit sound during this commissioning process.  Algonquin will notify the Town of any changes to the above schedule.
