The New England Patriots have made adjustments to their practice squad, signing defensive tackle Jeremiah Pharms Jr. and releasing cornerback Brandon Crossley.
Pharms, age 29, was most recently released by the Patriots on January 3, 2026. In the 2025 season, he appeared in three games and recorded three total tackles. His recent stints included elevations from the practice squad for games against Cincinnati on November 23 and the New York Giants on December 1. He was then signed to the active roster on December 27 and played as a reserve against the New York Jets on December 28.
Pharms first joined the Patriots in July 2022 after playing for the Pittsburgh Maulers in the USFL. During his time with New England, he spent all of 2022 on the practice squad before being promoted to the active roster during the following seasons. Over his NFL career so far, Pharms has participated in 31 games with five starts, accumulating a total of 45 tackles and two sacks.
Brandon Crossley, age 24, originally joined New England as an undrafted rookie free agent from Southern Methodist University (SMU) in May 2025. After being released at the end of August and briefly rejoining and leaving the practice squad again that month, Crossley was re-signed to the practice squad in late November before this latest release. During his college football career—which began at Colorado State in 2019 before transferring to SMU—Crossley recorded a total of 146 tackles, six interceptions, and defended thirty passes.
