The New England Patriots and the Houston Texans have released their injury reports ahead of their upcoming game on January 14, 2026.
For the Patriots, tackles Morgan Moses and Thayer Munford Jr. did not participate in practice due to knee injuries. Limited participation was reported for cornerback Christian Gonzalez (concussion protocol), tight end Hunter Henry (knee), linebackers Anfernee Jennings (knee) and Harold Landry (knee), running back Terrell Jennings (concussion protocol), and defensive lineman Khyiris Tonga (foot). Cornerback Alex Austin, who is currently on injured reserve, was a full participant with a wrist injury.
On the Texans’ side, defensive end Denico Autry (knee), tackle Trent Brown (ankle), and wide receivers Nico Collins and Justin Watson (both in concussion protocol) did not take part in practice. Limited participation included linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair (knee), tackle/guard Tytus Howard (ankle), guard Ed Ingram (shoulder), running back Jawhar Jordan (ankle), cornerback Kamari Lassiter (ankle/knee), and defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins (elbow). Full participants were long snapper Austin Brinkman (knee), tackle Aireontae Ersery (thumb), and safety Jaylen Reed (forearm).
The teams clarified that “Did Not Participate” means players missed practice entirely, “Limited Participation” indicates less than full repetitions, while “Full Participation” signifies a normal workload. The report also explained game status definitions: “Out” means a player will not play; “Doubtful” suggests they are unlikely to play; “Questionable” leaves uncertainty about their availability.
