On Sunday, April 6, former Canton High School standout Mathew Pigeon’s current college team, the Valparaiso Beacons, won 3-2 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Illinois State Redbirds.

The game took place at Emory G. Bauer Field. This was their third matchup against the Redbirds this season.

The Beacons’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 11 at 6:30 p.m. at Hammons Field against Missouri State Bears.
