On Saturday, April 5, former Canton High School standout Mathew Pigeon’s current college team, the Valparaiso Beacons, lost 18-3 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Illinois State Redbirds.

The game took place at Emory G. Bauer Field. This was their second matchup against the Redbirds this season.

The Beacons’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, April 6 at 1 p.m. at Emory G. Bauer Field against Illinois State Redbirds.
