The Town of Canton announced on April 14 that water service will be temporarily shut down in certain areas to allow for overnight repairs. The affected locations include Washington Street from Pleasant Street to Randolph Street and First Parish Road.

The Water Department said the disruption is scheduled to take place from 9:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m. This work is being done to make a permanent repair at the intersection of Washington Street and First Parish Road.

Valve maintenance may also occur during the day, according to town officials. Residents are advised that once water service is restored, they should run a cold-water faucet in their tub or use an outside spigot until any air is out of the pipes and the water runs clear.

Updates regarding this project will be posted on the Town of Canton Public Works Construction page. The department thanked residents for their patience during this necessary maintenance.
